JD Sports & Size?

I was a member of the Design Team, working as an Assistant Graphic Designer, producing in-store and external graphical content, working across all the groups fascia's (JD, Size? Scotts, Tessuti, Blacks etc. Aiming to deliver inspiring, commercial retail environments for customers.

Presentation design

I was tasked with creating a document for the Estates & Acquisitions teams when they met with new landlords etc, particularly overseas when people might not necessarily know who JD are yet.

So it gives a small overview about who the company are and where they came from to where they are now, what sort of product they sell (as some landlords overseas previously didn't understand that JD are sports-fashion so tried to class them as a Sports Direct type store. The presentation was well received by multiple key stakeholders.

Store concepts

We were challenged by the landlord in Lille, France to create something a bit more interesting at high level, as this shopping centre was fairly new. This gave me a good chance to experiment with new methods and materials which is something I love doing. I used a pallete consisting of 3M Material as its something that is very current and relevant to the target consumer. 

Store mockups

Part of my role at JD involved creating shopfront visuals using Photoshop to give prospective landlords an idea of what the unit would look like should JD move into it, here is an original photograph and a visual I created based on it.

Size? Manchester

I was responsible for coming up with graphical solutions for Size's brand new flagship store in Manchester. The store is filled with features that are nods to the famous Manchester music scene, such as the hacienda - Including the chevrons on the columns and large ? graphic on the storefront. The 'Second Coming' neon in the store nods the Stone Roses album aswell as being a reference to the fact it's size's second store in Manchester.

Size? Standard Details

Designed the look and feel of Size's Standard Detail document, creating a clean look so information is easy to access without damaging the integrity of size's brand. This document is also a fully interactive 103 page pdf, enabling users to easily jump to the required page by just tapping / clicking on the desired page in the contents page, then back home using the home button.
